Rev. Nathaniel Rogers' (pastor of North Church from 1697-1723) house on Pleasant St. was destroyed by fire in 1704. The next year the town gave funds to build his own house on the east end of Congress St just off Market Square. Raised one level in 1871 with storefronts on the first floor. On March 13, 1964, the building was destroyed by a fire. |
