John Bradford in Boston to John Langdon in Portsmouth, N.H. Congratulates Langdon on the safe return of The Ranger and reports that three brigs and The Maria were also safe. A "general joy" spread through the town (Boston) and the cannons of several ships was followed by a peal of the "North Bells." Dated April 23, 1779.

John Bradford in Boston to John Langdon in Portsmouth, N.H. Reminds Langdon of the goods supplied to The Ranger in June & August 1777 and again in September when John Paul Jones took the ship. The amount totals in excess of $2249. Perhaps the letter is written as a formal request to be submitted by Langdon to the Navy Board? Dated March 9, 1780.
