Pair of leather fire buckets, Samuel Picket; Body painted mustard w/ red trim at top and bottom; black-painted designs on both. Black scroll designs most visible on .1 and also include stylized eagle with wings, curliques, oval containing owner's name. "No... " barely visible on both. .1 More intact paint and design of the two buckets; one iron ring with leather attachment in place. Handle is separate. Name partially visible "S. Picket". .2 Leather handle and metal rings intact, but leather lugs are replacements. Very faintly under the paint at lower left can be seen "Akerm...." [Akerman?]. Possibly an earlier owner? |
