Two silver medals, both marked on the obverse: "Haven Medal/1843/Portsmouth, N.H." .1 is round with title on obverse with a laurel wreath; reverse says "Awarded to" at top and engreved below: "David Edwin Junkins/July 16, 1868." .2 is hexagonal with same text on obverse but with a floral garland;; on reverse: "Awarded to" with floral garland, in script: "David E. Junkins/July 1869". .1 is marked "Merriam on obverse; .2 is marked "Merriam" on reverse. Both have rings for suspension from a ribbon. |
