Snapshot of the Lebel sisters who are dressed in Colonial America era attire and representing the John Paul Jones House for the Portsmouth 350th Fashion Show & Tea at the Gov. John Langdon Mansion on Thursday, August 16, 1973. At left is Patricia "Patty" Lebel Philbrook and at right is Cynthia "Cindy" Lebel Kahn, each holding a section of the American Flag on what is believed to be the front lawn on the Langdon Property. Their father Irenee R. "Remi" Lebel was active with the John Paul Jones House and Portsmouth Historical Society, serving as the organization's treasurer. He was a public accountant with an office on nearby Court Street. Lebel was also a member of the Portsmouth Athenaeum. En verso is identification. |
