Description |
View of the Dover Point Toll Bridge that spanned Bloody Point, Newington, to Dover Point, Dover, c. 1930. One tunnel was for vehicular and pedestrian traffic while the other was for the Dover and Portsmouth railroad. In 1934, the General John Sullivan Bridge was built a short distance away. In the 1980s, the General Sullivan Bridge was closed to vehicular traffic when the Little Bay Bridge northbound section was completed. |
