Exterior rear view of a three-family residence at 218 Hanover Street in the North End, Portsmouth, NH. The property abutted the Vaughan Street Parking Lot. Image and report (see link) was for Parcel 12-2 in the "Appraisal Report and Valuation Analysis for the Portsmouth Housing Authority, N. H. R-10 - Vaughan Street Project, Portsmouth, New Hampshire" report by Ralph S. Foster Co., Inc. Date of appraisal was March 17, 1967. Parcel 12-2 was owned by Allan R. and Anne E. Bishop, and the house was demolished during the Vaughan Street Urban Renewal Project. On the typescript report the residence was estimated to be around 80 years old, and the interior was described as good condition. Half of the land and a diner (at right ) were sold to George Frisbee in January 1966. |
