Description |
An 1839 brick building at 290-292-294 Pleasant on the corner of Livermore Street, Portsmouth, NH. Image and report (see link) from the Historic District Survey, 1982-1983, by the Portsmouth Advocates, Inc. According to the report, the building was first constructed as a church (Pleasant Street Church), but in 1858, Thomas H. Odion converted the building into apartments. In 1981, the building was converted into six condominiums known as the Livermore Condominiums. A real estate "for sale" sign is in front of one of the units. The structure is an "austere brick building enlivened by the heavy Greek Revival door surrounds, extended eaves and mansard roof with dormers. An interesting eclectic combination which relates well to the Fraser and Colcord houses across Pleasant Street." |
