View of the old Holbrook's Sail Loft on Market Street, Portsmouth, NH. Undated. Sailmaker John R. Holbrook operated the sail loft from 1830 until his death in 1883. Above the sail loft is the paint shop of E. D. Coffin. There is a poster or mural on the side of the loft building. Further down the street is a two-bay garage. These structures stood opposite of the Moffatt-Ladd House, and they were eventually demolished. |
