Description |
View of the building known as the Gookin House at 43 Atkinson Street, Portsmouth, NH. Owner-occupied by Fannie R. Brewster, the property was identified as Parcel A-2-5 by the Portsmouth Housing Authority's South End Urban Redevelopment Project. Full report submitted by Reginald P. Kennard on September 28, 1955. An unidentified young assistant (possibly Kennard's son Reginald Jr.) holds up the sign while another unidentified man walks by with his head down. Known as the Gookin House, the building still stands on the campus of Strawbery Banke Museum. Image and report (see link) from MS080 Portsmouth Housing Authority manuscript collection. |
