Theresa Brighi Pirini with her grandchildren Michael Pirini and Susan Pirini, children of son Florido "Flo" Pirini, in the front yard of her daughter Deva Pirini MacDonald's house at 187 Union Street, Portsmouth, NH. Both Guiseppe (George) Pirini and his wife, Theresa, were born in Cesenatico, Italy in 1890. Census records indicate that Guiseppe immigrated in 1912, and his wife and daughter, Santa, 8, immigrated in 1920. The Pirinis had four more children in America. The family lived at 83 Russell Street, North End. For many years, Guiseppe was a watchman at the nearby shoe factory. Original image scanned and returned to owner. |
