A circa 1794 residence at 19 Howard Street, Portsmouth, NH. Image and report (see link) from the Historic District Survey, c. 1982, by the Portsmouth Advocates, Inc. According to the report, this is "one of the best preserved smaller houses of the Federal period in the South End, the house is thereby important architecturally, but also is notable as the home of Ebenezer Lord, a well known 19th century cabinet maker." |
