Group photograph for the Fourth Annual Outing of Local 14 Boot and Shoe Workers' Union from the Continental Shoe Corporation at the Pannaway Club, Jones Avenue, Portsmouth, NH. Dated Saturday, Aug. 21, 1941. Continental Shoe Corporation was located on McDonough Street. While there is no identification, one man can be identified based on other photos within the archives. In the back row, the eighth man from the left with a pipe is believed to be Enrico Bizzocchi of Jackson Street in the North End of Portsmouth. Other Italian-American family members from the North End are most likely also the photograph. See P0045_393 for another Continental Shoe Corp. picnic. Due to water damage some of the attendees' faces have been destroyed. |
