Description |
Side view of Bartlett Farm on Old Road, Eliot, Maine. RPPC. Title located on lower left front. Postmarked from Eliot, Maine, in September 1913, to Anna I. Vinton of Sorrento, Maine. Vinton was staying at the Weir Haven Farm. Sender is Anna's cousin Elizabeth M. Bartlett of Eliot. Handwritten message is as followed: Eliot, ME Sept. 20, 1913 Dear Anna, Roll [Elizabeth's brother?] and Mary sail for Bermuda today. Too cold at Rangeley Lake. Cold, rainy, east wind here. The Thorpe [?} case against R. S. B. [brother Ralph Sylvester Bartlett] & A. S. comes up next Tuesday at Alfred. Ed [possibly brother Charles Edward Bartlett] and I will motor up. Wish you were here to go with us. P. S. B. spends this summer day in Lebanon. Will write you from Alfred, if we go. It is likely to be exciting! and is before Judge Hanson in the Supreme Court. My cold is better, but nothing tastes good yet. -E. M. B. |
