Description |
Old Custom House, corner of Daniel and Penhallow streets, Portsmouth, NH. This building was built in 1817 after the Great Fire of 1813, which destroyed much of the downtown. In 1858, the custom house and post office moved to a new building on Pleasant Street. Today, the building houses a retail shop, restaurant and condominiums. |
