Description |
Believed to be Sunday School in the Peirce Mansion parish house on Court Street, Portsmouth, NH. The Middle Street Baptist Church purchased the Peirce Mansion in 1949, which was subsequently moved back from the street on a new foundation. The teacher is unidentified, but she is wearing a two-star service emblem on her dress. En verso, there are a few students identified. In the second row, three girls next to the window are Ann Ripley, Janet Parsons, and Nancy Dunton. At the end of the second row is Richard Young. In the back of the room is Marge Caldwell. |
