Summary |
Scrapbook created by Mildred Peterson, containing various ephemera related to Portsmouth High School. Also contains items from extracurricular activities, church events, as well as athletic and religious events held at the University of New Hampshire. Mildred F. Peterson, 1914-1999, was a member of the class of 1932 at Portsmouth High School. Collection includes material related to her graduating class as well as from other classes at PHS. Items include: programs from school plays, including the 1932 senior play in which Mildred Peterson performed; schedules, tickets, and newspaper clippings for PHS athletic events, particularly football; tickets for concerts, dances, and games; dance cards; church programs; and memorabilia from the Northern New England School of Religious Education annual summer conference. Some of the items are autographed by Mildred Peterson's classmates. Scrapbook was disassembled and ephemera preserved and foldered. Newspaper clippings, textiles, and organic matter were photocopied and removed from the collection. Material has generally been left in original order, which is roughly chronological. |
