125 acres off of Woodbury Ave. and east beyond Market Street now known as Spinnaker Point and Osprey Landing. Once known as Seacrest Village and Mariner Village. The land was first settled in the late 17th century by John Cutt's widow Ursula. The original development of houses was built by the Navy as WWII wartime housing. In 1914 American Agricultural and Chemical Company opened an experimental farm on the land. |
