The area east of Market Street now known as Spinnaker Point and Osprey Landing. The land was first settled in the late 17th century by John Cutts widow Ursula and later owned by the Wentworth family. The original development of houses known as Wentworth Acres was built as WWII wartime housing for workers at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Later known as Sea Crest Village (starting in 1964) and Mariner's Village. |
