Originally known as the Great Street, then Partridge Street. Became Water Street in 1839 and then Marcy Street in 1912. This street from Liberty Bridge to Pleasant St. was formerly a part of Water Street. Named in memory of Hon. Daniel Marcy who had a shipyard east of this street. |
