Islington Street opposite the site of the Governor Goodwin's Mansion. Bounded by State Street on the south. Originally known as Originally known as Maple Park and Goodwin Field and then Goodwin Park when it was sold. In 1887 the heirs of Ichabod Goodwin (1794-1882) sold it on condition that it should always be a public park. Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument erected in 1888. |
