Jerrys Point, entrance to Little Harbor, New Castle. First heavily fortified c.1745. In 1873 a new artillery battery was constructed by the US Government. It was designated Fort Stark on April 4, 1900, in honor of the Revolutionary War General, John Stark. Declared surplus on Dec. 31, 1949. State of NH made it into a recreational park. |
