Corner of Fleet and Congress Sts. Built ca. 1745. Originally the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ammi R. Cutter. Known as the Mansion House and renamed Temperance Mansion House in 1837. Called the City Hotel after 1841 and then the National Hotel. Burned 1877 and the National Block was erected on it site. Wm. S. Hadley, landlord in 1867. Wm. Fernald, Jr. and George W. Fernald in 1854. |
