    Writ of attachment involving John R. Gilman of Portsmouth, cabinetmaker and George W. Walker of Portsmouth, laborer. Dated August 3, 1819. Note attached for work that was done including glazing bookcase doors, painting desk mahogany color, and painting door and sashes. The constable arrested George W. Walker and bailed him to Gideon Walker of Portsmouth, miller. Joseph Y. Burgin is the Justice of the Peace. Andrew Gerrish is the Constable.

    Record book for the "Select Military Company" Gov Gilman's Blues. The group was formed in 1799 with Samuel Walker of Portsmouth acting as the chair, meeting at the State House. Book contains records of meetings including location, membership and officer names, and expectations of soldiers (uniforms, behavior, etc.). Indexed. See also S1147.
