Scope and Content The main portion of the Harris Family Papers came to the Portsmouth Athenaeum in 2003 as a gift from Nancy Beck. A portion of the papers also came as a gift from Margaret Morrissey in 2004. These items are noted in the finding aid with an "[MM]." The Morrissey and Beck collections of Harris materials both came from the same original source, an antique dealer on Marcy Street, and were therefore incorporated into one collection...
