Shipbuilder, primarily working on the Merrimack River. Designed (at least) the ships Essex, Massachusetts, Merrimack, Raleigh, and Ranger. Designed and built the frigate Alliance. Worked with his shipbuilding cousins John Hackett and James Hackett. Served from May 7 to December 16, 1759, as a lieutenant in the French and Indian Wars, Crown Point Expedition, in the company of Captain William Bayley. Recorded in Salisbury vital records as "deacon" at time of death. |
