Complaint dated February 8, 1790 involving plaintiffs Valentine Pickering and William Pickering of Portsmouth, husbandmen and defendent John Pickering Jr. of Newington, husbandman. John Pickering alledgedly with force detained Valentine and William Pickering from possessing thirty acres of land with buildings there on in Newington on June 14, 1789. The sheriff arrested John Pickering and summoned 18 men to be jurymen. |
