Descriptions and measurements of the land and buildings of the Eldredge Brewing Company, Cate Street, Portsmouth, NH. Includes description of the bottle house buildings including room measurements and construction material, description of the boundaries of land on Pond Street leased by the Eldredge Brewing Co., and descriptions of the boundaries of the bottling works parcel, the brewery parcel and the 'old plant' parcel on Cate Street. There is also a list of all the equipment in the bottling house. See also: AD0016. Historical note: The Frank Jones Brewery did not re-open after Prohibition ended, and the Eldredge Brewing Company brewed ale in the old Frank Jones plant under the Eldredge name from 1933 to 1937. In 1937 the Eldredge Brewing Company re-named itself the Frank Jones Brewing Company and re-named its ale Frank Jones Ale. In 1947 the company was sold to the rum distillery, Caldwell, Inc. and operations ceased. |
