The collection consists primarily of the letters of Storer Goodwin Decatur with a few letters related to his father, Stephen Decatur. Storer Goodwin Decatur was born in Portsmouth on 9 April 1888, the son of Mabel Storer and Stephen Decatur. He volunteered with the U.S. Naval Reserve on 29 April 1917 and served until 1919. He was married to Isabelle Trenchard (1883-1967) and died 26 August 1978. |
