Title |
Philip Jarvis to John Langdon |
Scope & Content |
One page letter from Philip Jarvis of Jarvis & Russell in Boston to John Langdon. Philip Jarvis (1762-1831) was a merchant in Boston, sometime with his brother Leonard. Agrees with Langdon that Captain Thurston should take the spars and timber at the market price. Suggests that Mr. McNeil of Boston, who is loading a ship or two, may want them. He says they wrote to General Sulliavn (in NH) and requested that he pay Langdon for £200, since the state of NH has owed them that amount for two years. Dated July 9, 1783. |
