Deposition of Sise, that he sailed from Portsmouth, N.H., 19 Jan. 1797, on board the brig Abigail with Jeremiah Tebbits, master, bound for St. Croix, West Indies. The ship was seized by the French privateer La Ferrett and taken to Guadeloupe where the crew was tried and detained for three months. |
