Title |
Alfred Eugene Lathrop fishing notebooks, 1924-c1928 |
Scope & Content |
Two notebooks belonging to Alfred Eugene Lathrop of 80 Bow Street, Portsmouth, N.H. The first notebook is dated 1924-1925; the second notebook is undated but likely postdates the first one (c. 1926-1928). Contains weekly records of fishing activities, mainly haddock and cod, as well as notes about fishing locations, expenditures, and shopping lists. The 1924-1925 notebook names Alfred's son, Howard Eugene Lathrop, who may have been apprenticing with his father until taking over the business after his father's 1928 death. |
