Aujourd'hui treize du mois de Mars 1807 année, et le 4e. de l'Empire français, est comparu en ce bureau I Capitaine George Vennard Comandant du Brik américain John Langdon de Portsmouth Inport de 124 tonneaux, armé de [blank] monté de Sept hommes d'équipage, appartenant a Mr. Treddick lequel a déclaré aller a Portsmouth et être chargé de ce qui suit; Savoir: [continues in French listing the contents and value of cargo]. Translation: Record from the register of departure declarations, both for French and neutral ships, as well as for barques and boats, held at the customs office at Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. Today, the thirteenth of March [in the] year 1807, and the 4th [year] of the French Empire, appeared in this [customs] office, I, Captain George Vennard, commander of the American brig John Langdon of Portsmouth, tonnage of 124, armed with [no armaments], manned by a crew of seven, belonging to Mr. [William] Treddick, who declares to go to Portsmouth and to be responsible for the following: [proceeds to list cargo including coffee and cotton]. |
