The view is down the Piscataqua River-with a 3 masted ship at the right, and a wharf with a building at the left, the schooner is in front of the building. J.S. Blunt 1824 is signed at the lower left. There is a partially unreadable inscription on the back: Piscataqua River from the north end of the bridge to Noble's Island from Portsmouth/John S. Blunt 1824.
