Provenance Commodore Peter Warren RN was commander of nalval forces at the siege of Louisbourg in 1746. This is a companion painting to that of William Pepperrell, commander of ground forces, now hanging in the Peabody-Essex Museum. Once hung in the William Pepperrell House in Kittery.
