A pen and ink drawing of a Bust of Franklin by David C. Hinman 1846. The sculptor of this bust is by Hezekiah Augur [1791-1858]. The drawing is framed with a picture of the artist presenting the drawing to Mrs. Peters on Sept. 26, 1846. The pencil drawing has stipple shading.
Signed "H. Augur /D.C. Hina\man /Drawn especially for Mrs. Peter's collection of '""Franklins" from the Original Bust by Mr. Augur" Request was Will Mrs. Peters have the kindness to give Dr. Franklin's Head a shelter under her roof-much obliged. Her Obt. servt. D.C.H.
