William Pitt Tavern, 404 Court Street on the corner of Atkinson Street, Portsmouth, NH. Originally, this building was called the Earl of Halifax Tavern and was run by John Stavers. At the time of the American Revolution, Stavers changed the building to the William Pitt Tavern. The building was converted to tenements as seen in the photograph. Today, the tavern has been restored and is now part of Strawbery Banke Museum.
