PS1824 - Small Photograph Collections

Photograph of a group at the Warner House. Individuals are identified on an accompanying sheet of paper: "The Westpointer is Charles William Whipple - The man standing next to him is his brother, David Whipple, who later went to Annapolis, became a marine and died from the effects of yellow fever caught at Pensacola - The seated man is John N. Sherburne - One of the seated women with the black skirt is probably Eleanor Sherburne mother of Charles William and Daniel Whipple - The other is probably her sister who married a Penhallow. The children are probably hers although one could be the daughter of Eleanor Sherburne Whipple - The woman in the window is probably the wife of John D. Sherburne"
