S0916 - Briganteen Hawk Shipping Agreement

Agreement between Henry Barter, master of the Briganteen Hawk, John Moffatt and Cutts Shannon and King George (signed by Theodore Atkinson). Agreement is for 1000 pounds sterling in exchange for taking on board provisions and "warlike stores" to be delivered to Newfoundland or Nova Scotia. During this time Provincial Papers show that ships were contracted to take provisions to Nova Scotia and to help deport Acadians to Louisiana.
