Deed of parcels of land on Third Hill, Kittery, and by Stoney Brook, Kittery, from John Heard to his son-in-law, Nathan Bartlett, a tanner, also of Kittery. Captions: Captain John Heard (1667-1751) Indian fighter lived in that portion of Eliot, Maine now (1908) occupied by homestead of heirs of Sylvester Bartlett. His daughter Shuah married in 1714 Captain Nathan Bartlett (1691-1775) tanner, of that part of Kittery in the Province of Massachusetts Bay, now Eliot. Captain Nathan Bartlett built the old Bartlett homestead in said Eliot now occupied by James W. Bartlett (1828- ). He was a great-grandson of Richard Bartlett of Stopham, England, who settled in America in 1635. Willi
