Railroad station, Laconia, NH.
The image comes from an 116-image scrapbook purchased in the early 1990s, but came with neither the owner's name nor the identification of the subjects photographed. It's possibly a touring scrapbook of a group of men (pictured in some of the images) who traveled north from Boston along the railroad lines, stopping at various stations and cycling across the countryside taking pictures. The locations range from Boston to the Seacoast towns of New Hampshire and Massachusetts as well as further inland to Manchester and as far north as Laconia, NH. Some of the images depict events that occurred in the year 1897, and it might be possible all images are dated to about that year.
