Siblings Carl and May Palm, 18 School Street, Portsmouth, NH. The Palm family, which was originally from Sweden, lived at 18 School Street. About 10 percent of the North End was not of Italian extraction. The sign at the next house up, 28 School St., was for Henry's Taxi and a grocery store. According to the 1939 city directory, Mary Twombley ran a grocery store there, and Henry Twombley ran a taxi service. Both resided there, too. Scanned image.
